The Founders Fund Award is an internal colleague award facilitated by TrueNorth’s Legacy Foundation with a goal to recognize TrueNorth and First MainStreet colleagues for their community engagement and involvement, and fuel colleague-led community initiatives. In addition to recognizing a colleague for their individual efforts, this award reinforces a culture of volunteerism and community involvement as part of One TrueNorth’s “Community” pillar. TrueNorth and First MainStreet colleagues are encouraged to submit nominations or applications via our community impact platform Submittable. All submissions will be reviewed by the TrueNorth Legacy Foundation Board of Directors. The Founders Fund award winner will be announced at the December year-end report out.
How it works:
- Colleagues can nominate themselves or someone else for outstanding community service.
- Nonprofit of choice must align with one of the three TrueNorth Legacy Foundation philanthropic pillars. They are, Children and Education, Emergency Preparedness and Response, and Vibrant Communities.
- Nonprofit of choice must be a 501c3 non-profit organization.
The award recipient will receive:
- Recognition for their involvement
- $10,000 grant to the cause they support along with promotion of the organization’s mission
- 20 Hours Additional VTO in 2027
The grant award winner will be notified in the fall, but the announcement of this award will come at the all-colleague meeting in December.
