Great news!
Your organization has been nominated by a TrueNorth or First MainStreet Insurance colleague to apply for a 2026 TrueNorth Legacy Foundation (TNLF) Community Grant.
To learn more about the TNLF click here.
The TrueNorth Legacy Foundation furthers our commitment to our communities, honors the philanthropic legacy of our founders, and encourages us as colleagues to perpetuate that legacy for years to come. We take great pride in ensuring grants will be provided to those causes within TrueNorth or First MainStreet colleague involvement and investment. This assures us that TrueNorth invests in the industries and causes our colleagues are most connected to and passionate about.
TNLF Community Grant Awards include an annual opportunity for nonprofits to apply for funding of a key initiative demonstrating future vision to enhance impact and address community needs, which aligns with our giving pillars and is championed by a TrueNorth or First MainStreet colleague.
TrueNorth Legacy Foundation’s philanthropic pillars include:
· Children and Education
· Emergency Preparedness and Response
· Vibrant Communities
- Note: The TNLF grants focus on funding sustainable projects that leave a legacy and make a lasting impact in our communities. While grants are not exclusive to capital campaigns and new programming, the foundation does prioritize awards that provide funding to new and transformative initiatives whether they be capital or program related. The TNLF does not fund annual fundraising campaigns or annual operating costs. In order to receive funding, the applicant must certify the organization is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing with the IRS.
Watch this video about the TNLF and our impact in 2023.
Applications for the TNLF Community Grant are due end of day Wednesday, May 6th by 5:00 p.m. We have a tight timeline this year due to board meeting schedules and our desire to announce our grant awards at our 25th anniversary event in mid-June!
Note: A copy of the application is attached to your invite email so you may review questions prior to completing the Submittable application.
If you have questions, please submit them in the messaging function in the Submittable platform. If you need to reach us outside the platform, please direct questions to Anne Parmley at aparmley@truenorthcompanies.com.
Thank you for all you do to make a difference!
